Meetup kina kit part 2

natuloy din ang meetup kina kit. dumating sina rino, gabby, cando, mervs, kit, jet, jason, wiron and tyrone (who flew in from cebu just to join us ---hehehe wow talaga ano?). compared to the last meetup medyo hind maingay kami ngayon (kaunti lang) -- namiss si eric tuloy. wara pan-o an mga maribok :-)

it was a little laidback and introspective. we shared more about life experiences and personally it was a very good experience for me to share my lifestory. moreso i really appreciate very much rino, tyrone and kit, jason for sharing their inspiring stories and lifelearnings. bilib talaga ako sa inyo mga padi! tsaka amazing talaga yung mga napagdaanan niyo sa buhay. wow! na-inspire talaga ako sa inyo and humbled.

meanwhile, mervs --hehehe still feeling a bit guilty dun sa "butag incident"- whole heartedly jumpstarted the batch86 fund by plunking down P2,500 as seed money. Junie will open a bank account para dito (junie yung medyo maraming branch na bank ang piliin mo ha para madali magdeposito tsaka bawas sa bank charges). and there was also a suggestion for regular personal contributions para lumago yung fund pero hindi nafinalize. tsaka pala we also brainstormed kung paano matulungan si peewee sa kanyang trabaho bilang pari. maybe during the next meetup, most probably sa olps homecoming sa october we can firm things up.

maaga umuwi sina cando (who brought along his wife and son) and tyrone (has to catch an early flight back to cebu- busy man talaga). kaming naiwan naman e napasarap sa kwentuhan. we split around 4 am.

here are some pix:

Balikbayan Mervs

here are some pics from the meet-up at Padi's Point Antipolo. Mervs came home from the US to pick up his parents for a little vacation in the US (bait talaga ni mervs no?). They leave this coming thusday.

kaunti lang kami kasi sina eric at jason lang ang nag-ok. si wiron hindi nakahabol kasi superbusy. the rest hindi yata nakarating ang text ko.

after picking up mervs in his house in palmera - valley golf we went to Padi's Point Antipolo. yun kasi pinakamalapit. initially, isip namin sa bagong
mall sa may julia vargas sa likod ng megamall kaya lang baka madami tao tsaka super traffic kaya Padi's na lang. we had a good time and the food was great (hehehe thanks mervs). --this time hindi kuripot si mervs :-)

btw, mervs works as a mainframe programmer in a commercial printing company in the US and has just moved to their new house in a suburb in maryland (he promises to post some pics). sabi namon pakita niya an magayon na balay niya kay kun basi makahapit baga kita didto ano?

Spam and Scam warning

mga padi, medyo damo niyan an mga email scam lalo na mga hali sa nigeria. usually an drama ninda, kakilala sila ng mga royalty or kaya mga government officials na namatay o nakulong at meron silang madaming pera sa bangko. tapos ang problema daw kailangan nila ng investors o kaya depositor para ma-withdraw nila ang pera. tapos hihingi sila ng pera sa inyo as "advance payment", then hihingi ulit ng ilang beses tapos mawawala na lang bigla -- kasama pera niyo.

kaya under any circumstances
  1. never respond to an email from nigeria or west africa
  2. never email or send to anybody your financial or bank details (credit card, account number, atm pin etc.
  3. never pay anything up front for any reason
  4. never extend credit for any reason
  5. never do anything until their check clears
  6. never give your contact info (phone, cell, home address, office address)
  7. never accept any money transfer, postal money order, travellers check until they are clear
pag me scam email delete agad. here is a website on scam email ---nigeria 419

Here's how a typical message looks like (more samples here):

Tyrone in front of his multi-level house (does it have four floors, or five?) located in the posh subdivision of Maria Luisa Park in Banilad, Mandaue City. This is his 28th house. By the way, Tyrone's willing to sell it if the price is right. Bids should start at _________. Tangkuda nindo. Posted by Picasa

Tyrone showed me around three of his project sites. All the units in this picture have already been sold out. Average Price: A little over P2-M. As I was taking this pix, his workers were busy constructing two more units next to the unit on the extreme right.  Posted by Picasa

Still very beautiful and sexy after six children,Tyrone's Wife, Maricris, not only cooks superb Japanese Cuisine but also sings very well. Tyrone is at the background with his youngest child, Reuben, and the three German visitors of Fr. Gerry: Stefan, Eva and Fr. Joachim. Posted by Picasa

TIA BETTY, College Seminary Cook

TIA BETTY, a part of many a Coke seminarian's life

Tia Betty hasn't changed a bit. If you bump into her, you'd still see the same old jolly person that you'd known years ago. Talk to her, and you'd still hear the familiar hearty laugh that she lets out, even at the most unfunny remark that you make.

She's now with Msgr. Monje at the Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Sorsogon City. [picture taken at Fatima's Kitchen]

By the way, anyone who still remembers the names of her twin granddaughters who worked part-time at the College Seminary?

MORE PICTURES FROM JULY 3 BAPTISM

It's more than a week now after the baptism, but i can't pass up the chance of publishing these very interesting pictures.

BEFORE

(around 4 pm of July 3, 2005 at Max's Restaurant, 4th Floor, Robinson's Galeria)

AFTER
(around 2 am of July 4, 2005 beside the swimming pool at the Greenhills Garden Square) Posted by Picasa

Why would this religious structure evoke in one of the ninongs the image of the female anatomy? Is it true that years after leaving the seminary, we never really lose the "seminarian" in us? or, do we owe it to our priest-formators? ha ha ha ha ha Posted by Picasa

The last shot before leaving (around 3:30 am of July 4, 2005) Greenhills Garden Square. Hope that the next time we visit we'll catch glimpses of Vanessa del Bianco, Ruffa Mae Quinto and Ethel Booba who share the same address as Kit. Posted by Picasa

bonsai in da condo, a splashy fish and a rainbow

After the reception at Max's we went straight to Kit's house. hehehe we took up his previous offer of "drink, drink, drink by the pool" :-)

medyo exciting mga kwentuhan and we probably woke up some people with our boisterous laughter (and probably annoyed the guards no end). as the night wore on -and eventually inumaga na-- Eric who became very friendly with mr. fundador demonstrated a bit of what we missed during the March reunion. junie may post some very interesting pics of goja.
